Research Foci: In the Law Research Group, we are laser focused on developing the next generation of treatments for mental health disorders and cancer chemotherapy. In particular, we aim to develop modular synthetic routes to natural products (NPs) with significant biological potential to solve problems in human disease. With modifiable synthetic routes to NPs in place, we collaborate with computational organic and medicinal chemists to guide which structures (non-natural products) we make to improve the desired phenotypic outcome of these medicines. With this in mind, we are a synthetic organic chemistry group engaged in the development of both stoichiometric and catalytic methods to achieve modularity in our synthetic campaigns.
